A film of me speaking about my project to the RSA can be viewed here.
Research-led response to an RSA Design Directions competition brief requiring the development of a solution that would enable a certain community to address climate change by collectively reducing their carbon emissions.
My chosen community were young professionals aged 20-30. My solution is a product designed to enable people to easily grow their own 'cut and come again' salad leaves at home all year, allowing them to conveniently enjoy the financial savings and health benefits of home-grown salad, whilst also addressing the environmental issues of food wastage, packaging and shopping miles.
The project was selected as a winning entry in the 2007-2008 Design Directions Competition.
